Let’s Get Started!

• • These build notes are for the 3DTek.xyz version of the open source XCarve, known as the XYZ-Carve.
  • We have made many modifications to the original Inventables design and so some of these notes are not applicable to machines not obtained through 3DTek.xyz
  • Each step of the instructions shows a
    • bill Of Materials (BOM)
    • few notes about potential ‘gotchas’ these are marked with this pin icon , and these notes should be read before going any further on that page.
    • CAD model with assembly animation
  • The models are made and hosted with Autodesk Fusion 360™, a fantastic full 3D CAD package with integrated CAM!!!
  • Models, Animations, Drawings, and Images are all best viewed in full screen using the  button at the right of the bottom toolbar.
  • The design and Animate button in the upper right corner of the CAD model allow switching between design view and Assembly Animation view.

• The toolbar at the bottom of the CAD model is useful in interrogating the model 
• And the home button to reset
